Why isn't Nekori on the Google Play Store?

Nekori won't be on the Google Play Store.

Download the Android APK from our download page. Novel plugins are JavaScript files managed inside the app.

Is Nekori available for iOS/iPadOS?

There is no iOS or iPadOS version and neither are there plans for one. Porting is difficult due to the separate codebases of iOS and Android apps.

Any app proclaiming to be "Nekori for iOS" is not by us and should be treated as a scam.

What is Nekori Nightly?

Nekori Nightly is the latest development version of the app. It showcases potential upcoming features, but it's more prone to bugs and crashes.

While it's ideal for users seeking the latest Nekori experience, it's essential to keep auto-backup enabled to prevent library loss due to issues.

Can I read light novels?

Yes! Nekori is built for light novels and web novels, with JavaScript source plugins and support for local novels and EPUBs.

Can I read manga?

No. Nekori is designed for novels and isn't optimized for a good manga-reading experience.

Can I stream anime?

No. Nekori isn't designed for anime streaming.

But where there's a WebView...

The reader runs on a WebView, so there's room to get creative. With enough JavaScript, curiosity, and questionable amounts of free time, you might get it to show manga, play anime, or even run some AI. These aren't supported features, but if you manage to pull it off... congratulations, you're the developer now. Have fun!
